At RussellMade we salvage our timber from the surrounding suburbs. Urban renewal makes way for stacks of timber to be re purposed from roof rafters, hanging beams, floor joists and even stumps into beautiful handmade furniture lovingly crafted to bring you a piece that will last a lifetime. We are also able to source timber of your choosing from certified suppliers.
The Workshop
Our workshop is situated an hour from Melbourne in the town of Healesville within the Yarra Valley. Overlooking the Black Spur and the Maroondah Reservoir it provides us with a constant reminder of the natural beauty of timber and the natural environment. We aim to tread lightly and build sustainable furniture that can last a lifetime.
The Process
Our first step, once your piece has been ordered, will be to ask you a few questions regarding your order. These will be to confirm size, timber type and any special instructions you may have. We want to make sure you’re going to get the piece you really want.
Next we’ll confirm the lead time. This is the time it will take from you ordering to the piece being ready for pick up or delivery. Currently our lead time is 12-14 weeks from order
Then we’ll contact you to let you know your piece is ready for dispatch or pick up. Be aware that we don’t allow pieces that aren’t fully paid for to be dispatched or picked up.

Hi and thanks for taking a look at the RussellMade website. I’m Russ and my passions are trees, timber and making really useful stuff….oh and my kids and partner but I’m not here to talk about them! In short I’ve always loved making things and I’ve always loved trees. I haven’t always been a furniture maker but when I finally jumped into it I found something I truly loved doing. I hope that comes through in the work I produce and I trust that if you order a piece together we can make it exactly what you’re after.
